Report Back & Phone Bank Party to Stop Crude-By-Rail in Benicia 10/13

Join us this Thursday evening from 5:30-7:30 pm to hear from Andrés Soto – an organizer from Communities for a Better Environment Action who recently led the effort to stop an oil-train-terminal in Benicia – and help get out the vote for their city council race!

Thanks to community organizing, the Benicia City Council just rejected a dirty and dangerous Oil-by-Rail Terminal that threatened the community and the climate. But now, Valero is trying to unseat the public officials who led the effort to stop it.

Valero is ramping up to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to unseat our champions in Benicia -- so after we hear from Andrés, we're going to call thousands of voters in Benicia to get to them first and encourage them to Vote-By-Mail!

**IMPORTANT** Please bring a cell phone and laptop if possible! If you aren’t able to bring them, no worries, please just let us know so that we can plan accordingly!

Citizen Engagement Lab is right near 12th St Oakland City Center BART station. The room is located on the 3rd floor.
