No Coal in Oakland Mtg 3/13

IMG_5707.JPGCome to the next meeting of No Coal in Oakland. This is an important time to defend the historic vote of the Oakland City Council to ban the use of a marine terminal on City-owned land for the storage and handling of coal. Developer Phil Tagami has filed a lawsuit against the city over the ban. Tagami sought to build a $250 million coal export facility on Oakland's waterfront. If built, the terminal would transport up to 10 million tons of coal each year.

We will discuss what we can do to stop this, as well as hear an update about the current status of the lawsuit.
