Ban Fracking Alameda Cnty 5/23

Please join Food & Water Watch, 350 East Bay, & many community organizations as we go back to the Planning Commission to fight for our fracking ban for the third time.

Where is the fracking ban we’ve been working so hard for in Alameda County? Why are we still waiting for basic protections against water contamination, earthquakes, and extreme oil? What should have been a routine Planning Commission hearing before the Board of Supervisors votes on our ban has become a dragged-out, months-long process, with industry trying to slip in language that will open the floodgates to water flooding.

We’re fed up with the oil industry’s delaying, denial, and confusion. On April 4th, we got postponed at the Planning Commission. On May 2nd, we got postponed there again by just one vote. And this Monday, you’d better believe we won’t be postponed again. Join us to demand no more delays, just the fracking ban we’ve been fighting for all along.

Meet at 5:45, wearing blue for our precious Alameda County water. And this time, we won’t be playing nice. Let’s win this fracking ban once and for all.
