Forum on Keeping Coal Out of Oakland 5/26

Phil Tagami, developer of the old Oakland Army Base, is in talks to sign contracts with four counties in Utah to export 5-6 million tons of coal through Oakland/year. This would have devastating effects on already disproportionately impacted West Oakland, and would be devastating for climate. Please pack the house at this informational forum to show Tagami that Oakland won't take coal!

I couldn’t help but connect the dots between the BLM’s domestic coal production, the rise price of coal in asian markets, and the west coast ports that sit in the middle.
