CPUC Meeting - SGIP

Speak out at the March 17th CPUC meeting on the funding of natural gas technologies through the Self Generation Incentive Program, SGIP.   This program, funded by public, ratepayer money, is designed to support the development of renewable energy technologies that lower our carbon emissions.  Instead, nearly half a billion dollars has been given to Bloom Energy for natural gas fuel cell technology.  CPUC staff are calling for reform - we need to be there to back them and add our voice to stop this ridiculous spending.  That money needs to go to the critical renewable energy technology, like battery storage, that we desperately need to stop fossil fuels.

If you cannot be there, please write a letter, which you can personalize by saying who you are, where you live and why you think climate change or real renewable energy is important here  Note that this is a site connected to Solar City.

half a BILLION DOLLARS going to natural gas drilling? This screams corruption and bribery. Didn’t we learn enough from the LARGEST METHANE LEAK IN HISTORY THAT’S STILL HAPPENING IN CALIFORNIA?
