dragon_boat.jpgThe City of Berkeley,Parks, Recreation and Waterfront Department and the Marina Experience Program present the Bay Festival, at the Berkeley Marina.

This wonderful FREE event  first happened 80 years ago when  the Marina first opened in 1937. The Bay Festival now showcases activities and environmental education that are available here at the Marina and all around the region. Come celebrate the Earth and our Bay by listening to music, eating wonderful food, and enjoying a day by the Bay.

Held outdoors in  Shorebird Park, 160 University Ave. Berkeley CA. This event is for all ages, providing information for you. Visit our Straw bale "green" building and pick up information about solar products and insulated windows from the exhibitors here. In addition, groups will have summer program offerings and locations you can go to for educational trips.

Come pick up a Passport  to the Bay with all these wonderful groups listed in it. If you go to each table and do the activity they provide, you can  learn amazing things!

Come see the E.B.R.P.D. mobile fresh water fish exhibit. These large fish are found locally in the delta and lakes nearby.  Make sure you stop by our classroom to see our 200 gallon salt water native fish tanks and fresh water native fish tanks.
