Tell Bonta to Divest from Coal 6/23

children_divest200x135.pngCalifornia is poised to make history by being the first state to take action on divestment and by divesting two of the nation's largest pension funds, CalPERS & CalSTRS, from coal. SB 185, the bill that would make history, has passed the California Senate and is up for a vote by the Assembly Committee on Public Employees Retirement and Social Security this coming Wednesday. Rob Bonta, chairs this Committee. The fate of SB185 is literally in his Committee's hands. Assembly member Bonta needs to hear from his constituents that we want him to lead his Committee in voting yes on SB 185 to keep it moving this legislative session. If you are a constituent of Rob Bonta's, please join us for a meeting in his district office in downtown Oakland on Tuesday at 2pm.
