Comment at BART Board Meeting for Renewable Energy 3/9

Show up to the March 9th Board meeting and urge the BART Board to pass the draft sustainability policy that calls for 100% renewables. bartboard.jpg
The BART Sustainability committee developed a draft sustainability policy that called for 100% renewables. The draft policy was adopted by the committee, but never passed by the board.
We just learned that at Thursday's Board meeting, staff will be presenting an electricity procurement plan that calls for 50% renewables by 2030 and 90% by 2045. This was their first opportunity to make good on the draft policy from the Sustainability committee and they are choosing not to live up to those standards.
We can do better! Let's let the Board know that the public wants 100% renewables ASAP!
Meetings generally start at 9am. We are anticipating the agenda item 7A will come up between 10 and 10:30 for public comment. RSVP to receive updates and talking point suggestions.
Be sure to sign the Petition, and spread it to your friends, best before Thursday morning.
