Stop Fracking in CA by Banning It in Monterey 11/8

The next big showdown for fracking in California is Nov. 8th when Monterey residents will vote on a fracking ban. Big Oil has Monterey in its crosshairs. It will take a lot of money to fight their lies. Ground operations are expensive and Protect Monterey County, the initiative’s sponsor, is in serious need of cash.  A lot of cash. Big Oil has already started running TV and radio ads and is expected to spend over $10 million by election day in November. Yes, you read it right—ten million big ones on a county land use initiative. This fight is just that crucial. Monterey is the fourth largest oil-producing county in the state of California, and a ban on fracking here would be a huge victory for California fossil fuel resistance.  And a huge defeat for the oil industry.

You can be part of the movement to stop Big Oil & win a fracking ban in Monterey by donating money.
