|BayCAP proposals for BAAQMD Climate Action Work Plan|
The Air District Board passed the Climate Action Resolution, but staff still ignore us.
The main Agenda item is a request from staff for direction from the Board on their 10 Point Climate Protection Work Program. Staff held a stakeholders meeting Tuesday December 3 to get "input." However Committee members were sent the Agenda the next day, including the Work Program document, dated November 27.
Staff acknowledged at the meeting that it was too late to influence what they sent to the Committee. What's up with that? The Air District didn't really seek our input prior to the December 9 Climate Committee meeting.
In fact, we gave written comments on the Work Plan to staff informally about three weeks ago. However, none of our points were included in the November 27 document.
The Resolution was the kick-off. This is the real nitty gritty. We need your help. If you can attend on Monday, please let us know with your RSVP.

We need a solar feed-in tariff payment policy that requires Utilities to pay anyone feeding solar onto the grid $0.49 kwh.
This will build millions of new, decentralized, solar power plants on the roof of every home.
This will create 3 million new solar jobs.
This will clean the air, as the FiT has done in Germany.
This will create a cash flow to $9 billion for California.
This will give millions of homes free solar energy.
Follow the leadership of Lancaster, Ca., require all new homes to be 100% solar powered.
Follow the leadership of Germany.
